DMCA Notice & Takedown Policy and Procedures

This DMCA Takedown Policy applies to reporting infringing content published on chumstar.com. If you require assistance in removing infringing material found on other websites, please contact us at support@chumstar.com.

At Chumstar, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. In appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, we may disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe or are repeatedly reported for violating copyrights or other intellectual property rights.

Although Chumstar is not based in the United States, we voluntarily comply with the Notice and Takedown provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). As a Service Provider under 17 U.S.C. § 512(k)(1) of the DMCA, we are entitled to certain protections under the DMCA's "safe harbor" provisions. To uphold these standards, we have adopted the following Notice and Takedown Policy for handling claims of copyright infringement:

Notice of Claimed Infringement

If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent and believe that content hosted on Chumstar infringes your copyrights, you may submit a notification under the DMCA by providing us with the following information in writing:

  1. Signature: A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of Copyrighted Work: A description of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of Infringing Material: A description of the material claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity, including details sufficient to allow us to locate it (e.g., URLs or specific content descriptions).
  4. Contact Information: Information sufficient for us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address.
  5. Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. Accuracy Statement: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
